About Wildflower Mercantile
Wildflower Mercantile was founded in 2022 by Emily Yewchuk, a corporate photographer turned small scale flower farmer with a deep love for nature, design, and community. After years behind the lens capturing moments and brands, she found herself drawn to the organic beauty of flowers—how they tell a story, evoke emotion, and bring people together.
As a mother of three, she understands the importance of creating meaningful, beautiful spaces, whether through fresh flowers, sustainable home essentials, or thoughtfully curated gifts. Her passion for growing and designing with flowers led her to open Wildflower Mercantile, a shop that blends modern floral design with eco-conscious living.
Beyond the shop, she is deeply involved in the community as Vice Chair of the Board for the Comox Valley Child Development Association, supporting programs and initiatives that help local families thrive.
At the heart of Wildflower Mercantile is not just a love for flowers and thoughtfully sourced goods, but also a dedicated team that brings warmth, creativity, and care to everything we do. Their talent and passion make the shop what it is—a welcoming space for the Comox Valley to connect, find inspiration, and support small, like-minded businesses.
Nestled in the heart of Comox, Wildflower Mercantile is more than just a flower shop. Whether it's a hand-tied bouquet, a refill of eco-friendly home products, or a special heirloom gift, every item is chosen with care and intention. Being part of the small but vibrant Comox Valley community is at the core of everything we do, bringing beauty and sustainability into everyday life.
